OMI: Italian compressed air treatment and industrial cooling, part of Ingersoll Rand
OMI (Officine Meccaniche Industriali) is a global company, active in more than 56 countries, part of the Ingersoll Rand group. The company develops and builds dryers, filters and industrial chillers entirely in-house in Italy, with its own test laboratory featuring three climatic chambers for chillers up to 365 kW and dryers up to 8000 m3/h.
From compact adsorption dryers of 1.8 m3/h to refrigeration dryers of 24,000 m3/h, and from small oil coolers of 2.9 kW to screwless water chillers of 365 kW: the OMI program covers a broad part of compressed air treatment and industrial process cooling. Modbus communication is available on almost all series, linking to our Monitoring & Insight solution.
Dryers, filtration, aftercoolers and nitrogen generators for the complete compressed air chain.
DD (Dolomite)
Compact refrigerant dryer for general compressed air installations. Water content class 5 (ISO8573-1), pressure dew point 7 degrees C. No-loss condensate drain as standard, Industry 4.0 option with Modbus RS485.
View seriesEasy Dry (ED)
The wide standard range from OMI: 31 models, water content class 4, pressure dew point 3 degrees C. Scroll compressors with corrosion-resistant materials, new patented no-loss smart drain, and up to 40 percent smaller footprint than the previous generation. Water- and seawater-cooled versions available from ED600.
View seriesEnergy Saving Dryers (ESD)
Energy-efficient version for large capacities, water content class 4. For compressed air installations where electricity consumption is a major factor in the total cost of ownership.
View seriesHigh Temperature Dryers (HTD)
All-in-one package: aftercooler, pre-filter (1 micron), heat exchanger and condensate separator in a single unit, suitable for an inlet temperature up to 90 degrees C. Energy-saving auto-sleep mode at zero load.
View seriesHigh Pressure Dryers (ED HP)
Refrigerant dryer for working pressure up to 45 barg, with a safety valve against contamination between refrigerant and compressed air. Applications: PET and bottle blowing, water jet cutting, aerospace valves.
View seriesRegenerative Dryers (SFD)
For a pressure dew point down to -20 degrees C without adsorbent material, via a regenerative/cryogenic principle. For applications where a refrigerant dryer does not reach low enough and an adsorption dryer is not necessary or desired.
View seriesHeatless Desiccant Dryers (KMD)
Entry-level range of adsorption dryers with cold regeneration. Pressure dew point class 2 (-40 degrees C) standard, class 1 (-70 degrees C) optional. Working pressure range 4 to 14 barg, EMS option for extra energy savings (payback time usually under one year), new touchscreen controller with maintenance alerts.
View seriesHeatless Desiccant Dryers (HL)
The smallest adsorption dryer range from OMI. All models guarantee class 3 air purity, the HL0030 CLASS 1 model guarantees class 1 (-70 degrees C). Compact and simple, suitable for small installations and laboratories.
View seriesHeatless Desiccant Dryers (HLA)
Seven models with Modbus RTU standard on all versions. Pressure dew point class 1 and 2 guaranteed, IP54 (also suitable for outdoor installation), compressor interlock function shortens the regeneration cycle based on actual air demand.
View seriesHeatless Desiccant Dryers (HLA Pro)
The heavy industrial line: 16 models, 26 available options, suitable for -10 to +50 degrees C ambient temperature. Digital controller with status panel and maintenance alerts, high-quality double-eccentric butterfly valves from HLA700Pro.
View seriesHeated Blower Desiccant Dryers (HBA)
Regeneration with a heated blower instead of compressed air: pressure dew point -40 degrees C without any compressed air consumption for regeneration. Higher investment cost and electricity consumption, but attractive where compressed air loss for regeneration is costly (e.g. large-scale 24/7 operation).
View seriesNitrogen generators (N-series)
Own nitrogen production based on compressed air, purity 95 percent to 99.9995 percent. Three variants: Standard, SEP and MultiSEP (for very high flow rates, on request). 24/7 operation, touchscreen control with automatic start/stop based on consumption.
View seriesStandard filters (F-series)
Four filtration grades: QF (pre-filter, ISO8573-1 class 3), PF (particles and oil, class 2), HF (high efficiency, class 1) and CF (activated carbon for odor and vapor). Applicable directly after the dryer or compressor, to protect pneumatic tools and processes.
View seriesAir-cooled aftercoolers (RA-series)
Cools the compressed air temperature after compression, for dryers and filters, and reduces downstream condensate formation.
View seriesWater-cooled aftercoolers (A/AV-series)
For high flow rates or where air cooling is not practical. Stainless steel version optionally available.
View seriesProcess water chillers, laser chillers and oil coolers for industrial processes.

CHW: water chillers
The wide water chiller range from OMI, 34 models. Refrigerant R513A (ecological, low GWP) up to CHWT863A, R407C on the largest models. Nominal conditions: 25 degrees C ambient, 15 degrees C fluid outlet. Remote alarm and remote ON-OFF standard, Modbus optional on all models.
View series
CHG: low temperature water chillers
For outlet fluid temperatures down to -10 degrees C with a water/glycol mixture. Refrigerant R452A on smaller and medium-sized models, R407C on the largest.
View seriesCHO: oil chillers
For lubricating oil and hydraulic cooling, supplied including pump (except the largest model), without tank.
View series
CHR: air-cooled water chillers (free cooling)
Passive cooling with ambient air, without compressor or cooling circuit (drycooler principle). Ideal in combination with a CHW or CHG chiller for free cooling, or standalone when the ambient temperature is low enough.
View series
CHA: water chillers (water-to-water)
Cooling via heat exchange with an external water source, without compressor or cooling circuit. For locations with available cold spring or tap water.
View seriesCHWL: chillers for laser applications
