Cooling installation for data centres and server rooms
Data centre cooling

Cooling for data centres, server rooms and critical IT

Redundant chillers, free cooling and direct liquid cooling for low PUE and high availability. Including complete installation and certified piping.

Why this is different

In a data centre, cooling is part of the service you deliver

A failed chiller in an office costs an afternoon of work. In a data centre the load stops, and with it the service to your own customers. That is why we design data centre cooling around availability: redundant components, concurrently maintainable layouts and controls that prioritise free cooling.

At the same time, cooling is the largest energy cost after the IT itself. Free cooling, high water temperatures and, where it fits, direct liquid cooling visibly lower the PUE. Availability first, consumption right after.

Our approach

Four building blocks for reliable data centre cooling

Redundant cooling as part of your uptime

We design with N+1 or 2N redundancy and concurrently maintainable components, so one machine can be serviced while the rest keeps running.

Free cooling first, target PUE below 1.3

In the Dutch climate, free cooling handles most of the year without compressors, with adiabatic support for the hottest days.

Direct liquid cooling for high rack densities

Above roughly 30 kW per rack we supply direct liquid cooling with a CDU and manifolds, connected to a redundant chilled water circuit.

Monitoring and maintenance aligned with your change management

Maintenance windows follow your change management. Monitoring reveals trends before a failure occurs.

Complete delivery

From cooling concept to certified handover

Every data centre installation is custom engineered and therefore quoted on request. We can deliver the complete project, including engineering, assembly and piping.

Engineering and redundancy

Capacity calculation, N+1 or 2N design, hydraulic schematics and alignment with your uptime requirements.

Certified piping

Process water, glycol and refrigerant piping to applicable standards, including certified welding where required.

Assembly and commissioning

Placement, connection, pressure testing, flushing, filling, functional tests and controlled handover.

Monitoring and maintenance

Connection to building management and component-level monitoring, with maintenance aligned to change management.

Pricing is determined per project based on capacity, redundancy, pipe routes, accessibility and required monitoring.

Applications

Three situations, one approach

Edge and micro data centres

Compact outdoor cooling units with free cooling and remote monitoring.

Server rooms in factories

Connection to process cooling water with separated circuits, so a production failure does not affect the server room.

Telecom and critical rooms

Stable temperatures with redundant units and monitoring, also when replacing existing systems.

Frequently asked questions

Data centre cooling, answers

What does server room cooling cost?

Every project is different. Capacity, redundancy, pipe routes, layout and controls determine the price. After an assessment, you receive a quote for supply and, if required, complete installation.

What is PUE and how does cooling lower it?

PUE is total energy use divided by IT energy use. With prioritised free cooling and adiabatic support, a PUE below 1.3 is realistic in the Netherlands.

Why N+1 or 2N redundancy?

With N+1 one spare component covers the failure of one machine; with 2N the full capacity is duplicated. Maintenance can then happen without interruption.

When is direct liquid cooling needed?

From roughly 30 kW per rack, air cooling is barely efficient. We then remove heat directly via liquid with a CDU and manifolds.

Can the installation be monitored remotely?

Yes. Via Modbus, BACnet or MQTT we track temperature, pressure and consumption at component level and intervene before a failure occurs.
