Frimec: industrial cooling and temperature control from Brescia, since 1967
Frimec (founded in 1967 as Frigomeccanica) has been building industrial cooling installations and thermoregulators for more than 55 years from its own factory in Nuvolento (Brescia, Italy). From the beginning, the company specialized in the plastics processing industry and then expanded into galvanics, printing, mechanical engineering, laser, die casting, and the food and beverage industry. The production hall in Nuvolento was specially built for the construction and testing of cooling installations up to 2000 kW cooling capacity.
Frimec is PED and F-Gas certified and has a reference list of more than 5000 customers worldwide, including Lamborghini, Maserati, FCA, Sacmi Group, and San Pellegrino. The range extends from compact water-cooled microchillers starting at 12 kW to large-scale air-cooled installations of almost 1000 kW, supplemented by an extensive program of thermoregulators for mold temperature control in injection molding. Frimec also offers its own Industry 4.0 platform for remote monitoring of installed systems.
MKevo Pro / MKevo FT Pro
Frimec's core program: air-cooled chillers from 12 to 375 kW, standard suitable for indoor and outdoor installation and for ambient temperatures from -20°C to +45°C. The MKevo Pro works with a fully closed circuit between chiller and consumer, the MKevo FT Pro version works with an open circuit. Cooling water is supplied between -8°C and +20°C, also outside these values on request.

For large-scale, continuous process cooling: monobloc outdoor installation with stepless screw compressors for precise capacity control. Weather-resistant construction with IP55/65 cabinets for electrical equipment. Part-winding start limits the starting current and thus provides energy savings.

These installations automatically switch between compressor cooling and cooling with outdoor air as soon as weather conditions permit. Three-way valves with electronic control direct the water through air/water exchangers instead of through the cooling circuit. Based on years of experience, Frimec calculates an energy saving of up to 90% compared to traditional use, related to the period the free-cooling system is active.

Our core expertise: mold temperature control with water, for processes requiring high temperatures. VR and VRS regulate up to 95°C, VR PRESS up to 140°C and VR PRESS SS up to 180°C at increased pressure. Two electronic contacts (minimum and maximum) control heating and cooling, so that fluctuations due to thermal inertia of the mold and the plasticization temperature of the material are automatically compensated.

Evaporative cooling towers for large-scale condenser water cooling. The vertical air discharge makes the installation independent of wind direction and strength; for indoor installation, a version with centrifugal fans is available. Fully hot-dip galvanized sheet metal with additional protective coating and weather-resistant electric motors.

Air/water convectors that, in combination with an MKevo FC Pro installation or another chiller, cool process water using only ambient air. In contrast to a cooling tower, the TC series works without evaporation principle and thus independent of the wet-bulb temperature: also suitable as oil cooler in hydraulic systems or for condensing gas.
