Infinity Cool (20-600 kW): air-cooled chillers

The new generation of industrial chillers with low-GWP refrigerant R454B

The Infinity Cool series is the new flagship from Friulair: air-cooled chillers from 20 to 600 kW, designed around the low-GWP refrigerant R454B (GWP 467, safety class A2L). The range counts 27 models in two groups: IFC 021 to 105 kW and IFC 110 to 600 kW. Two configurations cover different processes: WLT for low-temperature chilled water (down to -8 °C) and WHT for high-temperature applications.

Because R454B is an A2L refrigerant, the units are intended for outdoor installation only. In the 20 to 200 kW range, refrigerant leak detection, safety valves and emergency ventilation are provided. Electronic expansion valves and EC fans are standard across the whole range, where this used to vary per series.

Heat recovery is available in detail: variable from 0 to 100% on IFC 021 to 105, and on IFC 110 to 600 either partial (around 20% of the cooling capacity) or full (around 100%). The range is also extensively configurable with pump and tank combinations, antifreeze heaters, sound-attenuating enclosures, connection kits and packaging options.

Infinity Cool succeeds the earlier Friulair chiller ranges CWB, CWB FC, CFT, CWE, CEN, HEN, CWT and CWV. Still running one of those units? We advise on the replacing Infinity Cool version and on parts and service for as long as your existing unit stays in operation.
